Rotary Kiln Ignition Heating Precautions

The rotary kiln is an essential equipment in working production. The rotary kiln is to heat the furnace body through the high temperature fire source continuously. So as to achieve the purpose of calcining materials. Commonly used in: cement, metallurgy, lime, mineral processing, building materials and other industry sectors. Then in the rotary kiln ignition operation and start production need to pay attention to what matters? It can ensure the safe and stable operation of rotary kiln.

Rotary kiln ignition heating precautions:

1. Complete all the preparatory work before ignition: all the tools and materials should be removed from the kiln. All doors should be closed. The induced draft fan inlet valve is closed, the rotary kiln out of the exhaust fan inlet valve is closed, the cooler inlet valve is closed. The air duct valve of the coal injection pipe at the point of penetration should be in full open position. Warming stage before feeding. Nothing is allowed to stay in the cooler. It takes 24h from the cold state of the rotary kiln to the warming up and discharging.

2. If the temperature in the rotary kiln furnace is much lower than the ignition temperature of the fuel. The air and the fuel are mixed but not yet ignited. This is the most dangerous hazard. If the fire is not lit or blown out during operation. Then it is necessary to put a lot of coal and less air flow. The chimney at the end of the rotary kiln will emit black smoke. At this time, it is important to note that the coal dust will be deposited in any enriched position. Or the dust collector has the potential for dust explosion. At this time, it is easy to produce a large amount of CO. using the site personnel should take safety measures. If the feed inlet of the rotary kiln, flue gas pipe, inlet of the dust collector, etc., it is detected by analysing the analyser. If CO is greater than 1% then an alarm is required. If it is greater than 2% then it is necessary to stop feeding coal.

Rotary Kiln Ignition Heating Precautions

3. Prevent the negative pressure from being too large in the process of rotary kiln furnace continuously warming up. It is easy to go to the other extreme when igniting. If there is CO present. then the airflow will be pulled up. will then cause the flame to draw away from the burner. This causes the flame to go out. If the flame goes missing. The interlock needs to cut off the coal supply system immediately. If a certain height is reached inside the rotary kiln furnace. The flame detector will become useless. The staff should always be vigilant when operating. Do not blindly increase the amount of coal used, increase the air volume, etc..

4. If the ignition fails, it is necessary to re-ignite. If there is not enough temperature in the rotary kiln system to ensure continuous flame ignition. It may be necessary to relight the kiln. At this point, there will be combustion gases and volatile hydrocarbons that have accumulated in the kiln. It will be easy to have a potential hidden risk of explosion. If ignition fails. Then you need five times as many kiln, piping, dust collector and other air in the main body to blow. The purge time is: 5~ 10 minutes. Then only to re-ignition.

The above is the rotary kiln ignition heating required precautions and operating instructions. Always pay attention to safety issues, operators pay attention to standardised operation. Want to know more about the rotary kiln related information. Welcome to your online consultation.
